Haiti Advent Fundraiser

As we have experienced here, schools have been disrupted in Haiti, because of Covid 19, and also because of political unrest. The 2019-2020 school year was interrupted, then completed in August and September. Then the schools were closed for the month of October, and resumed again on November 9. They will continue classes until the end of July.  The school principal, Michel Elissaint, and all the teachers are working hard to keep the students on track. As in past years, we are hoping to raise more money for teacher salaries during Advent. Although we won’t have any cards to give you, Elissaint has made some videos of the students and teachers. Click here to check them out!

2nd Sunday of Advent

Service of Loss & Remembrance

Sunday, December 6th ~ 4:00pm

Every year we have a Service of Loss & Remembrance during Advent, that time of year that can be especially poignant for those mourning loved ones or other losses. This year during the COVID-19 pandemic, the losses, sorrow and grief are especially acute. We will continue our tradition of holding a simple annual service of prayer and music—this time, a remote service we watch together online, to mourn our losses and to receive the comfort of God’s love. All are welcome.
