COVID-19 Updates
UPDATE: Thursday, September 8, 2022
Beloved St. John’s community,
St. John’s is now making mask wearing optional for vaccinated persons for all events, including church services, beginning this coming Sunday, September 11. Nearly all other locations, including other local churches and schools, have made mask wearing optional, and vaccinations are now available for every age group. The one exception to this is that ministers serving communion will wear masks during distribution of bread and wine.
We also ask that if anyone is sick, you stay home unless all of the following conditions are met:
- you are vaccinated
- you have a negative COVID test within 24 hours
- you wear a mask
- you have no known exposure to COVID within the last five days
- you do not have a fever
Because people continue to have different needs and comfort levels about masking, we are asking our community to continue to express loving-kindness and non-judgment of others whose masking needs are different from yours.
Thank you for continuing to be a warm, caring and inclusive community of faith!
In Christ’s love,
Lisa
