GROW

Music

We strive for and hope you find the music at St. John’s to be inclusive, eclectic, contemporary, traditional, classic and, above all, welcoming.

At St. John’s, music expresses our experience of God—soulful, inclusive, and multigenerational, and drawn from diverse sources that reflect the Beloved Community of all God’s children.

Music is about experiencing and sharing God’s presence. We do this through robust congregational singing, contemporary music ensemble, Festival Choir for high holy days, Chime Choir and Children’s Choirs. We also have an affirming and fun monthly “Open Mic” where ALL are welcome to share their creative gifts. On Wednesday nights we offer a free drop-in dinner for those participating in Children’s Choirs and Chime Choir.
