Contemplative Prayer by Zoom Sunday Evenings at 7pm
A small group of parishioners has been meeting in the chapel for contemplative prayer every Sunday evening at 7 pm for over fifteen years. Since March we have been meeting by Zoom. We would like to invite anyone interested to join us.
The format is simple – we take turns leading, and the leader chooses a poem, other reading, and/or chant. Then we sit in silence for twenty minutes. Most of us have been trained in Centering Prayer, but any type of meditation works. After the period of silence, we verbally offer prayers for others. Then we check in with each other about how we are doing. We are done before 8 o’clock.
If you are interested in joining once or every week, email Dianne Pizey and I will put you on the list to receive the Zoom invitation on Sunday afternoon. If you are interested, but do not have a meditation practice, call me and I will walk you through the guidelines for Centering Prayer at 612-730-4810.
Hope to see some of you there,
Dianne Pizey
