Friends –

As many of you know, we are in the process of setting St. John’s 2022 budget. As we consider the details of our potential revenue and expenses for the coming year, I am prompted to reflect on the tireless work of our beloved staff, to create new and safe opportunities for us to live our faith in community. We also understand that the pandemic continues to impact many aspects of our church (and personal) life, including financial planning. We have already seen this reflected somewhat in St. John’s stewardship campaign. Thus far, we have received about $375,000 in pledges, which is about $45,000 under where we were at this time last year.  In order to plan for 2022, we are asking you to make your pledge as soon as you are able. Doing so will help us continue to follow Jesus’ Way of Love together – caring for staff, investing in children & youth ministry, increasing justice efforts, and offering education and spiritual practice opportunities that nourish us to live faith in daily life.  At this point, the easiest way to pledge is to just email Rachel – let her know your name and the amount you will pledge for the year.  Please know in advance how grateful we are for your past financial support of St. John’s, and how grateful we are for your consideration of a 2022 pledge.

Sincerely,
Mark Lindberg
